How do I add a counter?

Tap the + button in the top-right of the Counters tab. Free accounts can keep up to 3 counters. Tap Tally Pro removes the limit.

Why is the heatmap blurred?

The heatmap, monthly stats, and yearly stats are part of Tap Tally Pro — the one-time unlock. Tap the unlock button on the Stats tab or in Settings to view them.

I bought Tap Tally Pro on another device. How do I restore it?

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID that bought the unlock.

Does Tap Tally Pro sync between my iPhone and iPad?

Not yet. Tap Tally Pro is intentionally local-only in v1.0 — your data stays on the device, nothing is uploaded. Cross-device sync is on the roadmap.

Why does the app need haptics?

Haptics are how the app confirms each tap is counted, especially when your eyes are elsewhere (counting reps, knit stitches, crowds). You can disable haptics in Settings if you'd rather count silently.

I deleted a counter by accident — can I get it back?

Not in v1.0. Deletes are immediate. We're considering an undo bin for a future update.

Will there be widgets and an Apple Watch app?

Yes — both are planned and will be included in the existing Tap Tally Pro unlock. No additional purchase.

Troubleshooting

The app won't launch

Restart your iPhone (hold power + volume up, slide to power off, then turn back on). If the app still won't open, reinstall it. Your purchases are tied to your Apple ID — restore them from Settings after reinstall.

Counters reset to zero unexpectedly

This shouldn't happen. If it does, please email us with the iOS version and what you were doing — this is a serious bug.

The "Restore purchase" button does nothing

Make sure you're online, and signed in to the same Apple ID you purchased with. If you bought via a Family Sharing account, Apple handles that automatically once your devices are linked. Still stuck? Email us with your purchase receipt.
